4 end up in the hospital after 'ethnically motivated' fight
at the Red Rock Correctional Center
In an ELOY, AZ Prison 4 inmates were carted off to the
hospital Wednesday night after a fight broke out between 80 inmates at the Red
Rock prison in Eloy, according to the A-DOC.
A-DOC said the "ethnically motivated" battle
happened in the recreation yard of the medium-security section of the prison.
DOC officers arrived to the yard and defused the fight, and in
turn securing the unit from anymore damage.
No DOC staff members were wounded during the event, according
to the DOC.
They said that the unit will continue being locked down until
investigators have a chance to look into what actually started the fight, and of
course try to find the culprits who started the shenanigans. This particular unit
houses 928 inmates.
